Melissa is from Katy, TX. She graduated from Abilene Christian University with her undergraduate degree in psychology. Melissa received her Master’s in Education in School Counseling and Counseling Special Populations from Lamar University.

Melissa is a Licensed Professional Counselor. During her practicum, she worked with families and teenagers. She has served as an elementary school counselor and now currently serves as a junior high school counselor in Katy ISD for the past five years. She also counseled at  Katy ISD’s Family Support Center for two years and worked with children of all ages, teenagers, and adults, including children with special needs.

At Martin Counseling, Melissa would like to see children, adolescents, families, and adults who may be struggling with behavioral, emotional, or relational issues. The goal that she has for her clients is to ultimately be able to independently practice therapeutic skills to function and thrive in relationships, school, work, and general day-to-day life.
