At Martin Counseling, we charge the same for intakes and follow-up sessions to self-pay clients. (We do not charge you more for the first appointment). Copays are established by your insurance company if we are in-network.
We truly believe we can help. The first session (INTAKE) allows you to meet with one of our counselors, receive a full assessment of your case, and decide if you would like to enter into a professional relationship with them as your counselor.
The price for intake and follow-up sessions for self-pay are $80, $120, $160, or $180 depending on the credentials and experience of your counselor. The chart below shows the type of clinicians and their session prices.

- Do I have mental health insurance benefits?
- What is my deductible and has it been met?
- How many sessions per year does my health insurance cover?
- What is my coverage per therapy session?
- Is approval required from my primary care physician?
We are out-of-network providers for all other insurance. Payment is due in full at the time of service. A claim form may be provided for insurance claim reimbursement upon request.
